Money Factory Tour
The kids (ages 6 and 9) enjoyed this tour. Their favorite part was the twin "tube scanners" you have to stand in before entering the facility (and the gift shop). No phones or cameras allowed (you'll need to leave them in your car). The facility is located at 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131, USA. Construction in process between Dallas and Fort Worth was terrible; you may want to check it out before driving there.
One Fun Thing:
If you can't get to the "Money Factory" in person, you can check out their online site to buy money at http://www.moneyfactorystore.gov/. Today only ALL money is 50% off. I am stocking up for the year! [NOTE: the prior two sentences are a J.O.K.E.] Anyway, you can actually buy money...special money, all sorts of special money (as opposed to funny money, which is really frowned upon here in the good old U.S. of A.. You can also pick up a giant 5 pound bag of money (containing at least $10,000) for the low, low price of $45.00 here Giant Bag of Money. Of course, it's shredded and was never "monetized". If you HAD gone on the tour, you would know that means it's probably a bag full of rejected bills. Wouldn't it be fun to use as
